I need to keep up my stock levels at Past-Times, the retail outlet that I use here in Wisbech. There hasn't been quite as much workshop time over the last couple of weeks, so I spent a bit of time yesterday turning this yarn bowl. It's a medium size bowl with a lid, made in English oak.
I was also asked if I could make a crochet hook set for a Past-Times customer who has arthritis. She cannot manage the standard size handle on my sets, so I made this handle a couple of centimetres longer than normal and slightly broader. I also turned in an emphasised finger grip, which should make the handle much more comfortable to use. I love doing things like this as it's nice to make something that's a little more tailored to the individual.
